Hello,
I'm dazed and confused over equipment connections... We've got a behringer mx9000 mixing desk, an Alesis midiverb 4 and a comp/limiter. All second hand and donated to our church band.
I just can't figure out how to connect the comp and effects to the mixing desk so we can use them on any track... Can anyone help and tell me what type of cable I should use?

Jan 22, 2007 07:08 am Those should go into an aux loop, the MX9000 I am sure has 3 or 4 aux/effects loops. Then each aux loop will have a level knob in it's channel strip to turn up the saturation of the effect on that channel.

What kind of cable do I need? basic jacks or do I need special cables?

Jan 22, 2007 09:16 am Yep, you can dial in the amount of each effect to each track.
basic mono plug should work fine, as there shouldn't be stereo at that point. only mono signal. Stereo happens later in the signal chain.

Thanks a lot guy, I'm off to my local cable dealer erm, well as soon as the shop's opening...
