I'm trying to register there (don't worry, I'm not leavin' the HRC :p), but I never received the confirmation email (tried two different accounts with different email addresses/servers) and there aren't any email addresses listed anywhere!

If someone else here is a member, could he/she post something regarding this matter? I would, but I can't post! :(

I was a long time ago, that forum was the one that made me want to start my own, it sucks, people are snobs and mean...the site itself has never changed as long as HRC has been online...but the forum is active, I'll give it that.

Years ago when this site was "Home Recording Central" but was under the dbmasters.net domain, I went to buy homerecordingcentral.com for it's own domain only to find out the guy that own homerecording.com had bought it when he saw my site getting popular...so I have a beef with him...

Ooh sorry DB, didn't mean to bring up any bad blood or anything! (On a related note, you should find $24 in your paypal account from my address :) ). I just like to have as many opinions as possible when I ask questions and, as such, I currently post on four or five different boards semi-regularly. That one just looks like another decent resource for information, although as you said some of them sound like a-hole snobs. There are a couple guys that know their stuff though, and information is information no matter how you get it!

Can't wait for my pro membership :p

I joined so long ago that I don't remember anything about the confirmation email.

Actually I had a problem like that a couple of weeks ago when I registered for a few sites over the weekend. Out of the 3 sites I registered for, only 1 confirmation email went through.

Yeah that site drives me nuts sometimes. Its still one of my daily stops, but I only peruse the Guitar and Bass forum because the brow-beating and snobbery is usually kept to a minimum in there.

I'm a member...mainly just check out the computer recording, and newbies section... dragon cave too ... it can be pretty snobby... and it's not as fun as it was when there were truly stupid people to make fun of...

I joined here shortly afterwards in the 'early hrc' days before db threw a fit and closed it... and then reopened it... and threatened to close it again... and then became homerecordingconnection :)

Just to clarify, I never "threw a fit", but I did close it cuz it was too much of a time drain and wasn't worth the time I put into it...that isn't throwing a fit, that's managing time. And it was about 3-4 years ago as well.

That's when some peeps popped up and said they'd help moderate and whatnot...so it's not so much of a drain on my time.

I really don't like how I am am characterized sometimes...some are not very funny. It's people trashin me that was in part responsible me closing it the first time, when people started telling me I wasn't giving them enough FOR FREE, and we had some loosers (that guy from The Anniversary being one) being jackasses that really sucks the fun out of it. It surely doesn't pay the bills, so if it can't be fun then why bother.
