Negative feedback on EvilBay

k, so I've ordered a few things (about 15) from ebay in the past. Most items have been between $100 and $200. I've never had a problem and I've always paid immediately after winning the auction.

Anyways, my daughter asks me to buy this $4 item for her. I do so and win the auction. The seller after a couple of days then states that they cannot ship to Canada (even though they advertise "worldwide") and if I have a US address that I can send to. Fortunately I do have a US address so I send them the details. A few days later I get a refund from Paypal from them for the full amount. I think, ok, that's cool, I got my money back. Then I get a reminder from ebay stating that I have not paid. I'm thinking WTF, I paid and have already been refunded. Next thing I know they leave a negative comment "UNREASONABLE EBAYER...AVOID AT ALL COSTS". I look into my PayPal account and see that they refunded my money 2 more times - haha, losers! I think they may have left a negative comment because of their refund f'up.

Anyhow, this still sucks as I now have a negative feedback for a $4 item. Ebay's policy won't do anything for me so I'm stuck with it.

This is the first bad experience on ebay and for a $4 item none the less. The only good news is that I made an $8 profit.

I bought a lot of high priced items on ebay... even my truck... just be sure to respond to the feedback and leave negative yourself...not everyone has 100% positive...like me :)

closest I came to having a bad experience was buying my medium format camera though a dealer in canada and it too over a week for the money order to arrive though the mail and they started a "non-paying bidder" thing ...so I replyed with the MO serial number and they get it the next day. then "Oh BTW! item will be shipped from the Ukraine... you'll get it in 3 weeks" I did get it...and it was the best packaging job I've ever seen..even air tight from all the tape...

craigslist wise I use for finding models... though there's some ugly *** chicks who reply... however I've also got to work with some "real" models through them.

The last thing I bought off of ebay was the only less than great experience that I had, and that was because the guy waited almost a week to send the item. Everything else has been good.

Craigslist is cool too, but 'round these parts, there's been people using craigslist to rob people (show up at someones house to pick up merch, and then stick 'em up).

But, man, at least you got $8 out of him. I'd leave feedback and mock him!

Out of 15 purchases this is the only one that sucked. It is rather amusing that I come out ahead by 8 bucks, it's just that I've made sure to keep my feedback clean and this ******* messes it up for a $4 deal. I'll still buy from eBay though.

Does Craigslist have a payment processor? Credit Card??

I like online shopping for gear as I can get way better deals than I can locally (sometimes less than half the price even on new stuff!).

Craigslist is just a bulletin board.

I like both. I do use ebay alot though and have purchased both my guitar amps and numerous mics from them. Never had a worlwide shipper fling me any crap though, that is pretty odd.
