Yeah, I actually plan on getting one, then I am selling my Radium 49. The TonePort UX-2 kicks ***, which is what that unit is, add a keyboard to it and you have a pretty self-contained home studio.

As soon as I off one more piece of gear (hopefully over the weekend with one guy I am negotiating with) I am buying it, which frees me up to sell other gear and save massive amounts of space at the same time.

Yeah, sound quality debates aside, i think line 6 is one of the real fore runners for providing hobby/semipro home studios with affordable and versatile equipment.

crux, I have been using the UX-2 much more these days and love it. And I wouldn't rate it at hobby or semi pro, I've seen the rig in some top end studio's and their loving it.

I agree with Noize, the UX2 is fantastic.

So far, I've only used it on vocals and for tracking acoustic.

I remember when I first got it, I took it out of the box and I didn't think it was gonna be much good, I think it was the weight issue that made me think that way, it's very light indeed!

Line6 are the dogs!! Everything I've got with their name on it rocks my world!
Now I don't give it a second thought when buying stuff from them as I'm confident it'll be a great buy.

I have a Line 6 Variax, that combined with any of their amp/speaker modeling systems and I can have virtually any sound known to man, and a few that aren't.

Line 6 is top notch.

Yep, the Line 6 stuff is as dB stated top notch. I wouldn't trade it off for much of anything, maybe a million bucks. Ask dB, he was making me an offer I was kind of dumb to refuse, but I dig the thing so much I couldn't part with it as I do use it frequantly.

And considering I have a fully loaded POD xt as well I still like having the UX-2 and use it more then the POD right now. Mostly as it is hooked sirectly to the main studio PC viz USB so if I don't feel like patching in I just light up the ASIO drivers for the thing and go straight on in.
