Oct 12, 2006 09:56 pm I think cool edit is set to record from your soundcard. So, i think you said you are using an audigy in another thread? if so then you need to set it up to record "what you hear", otherwise, it will only record the input. I'm not familiar with guitar fx, but can you apply it afterwards to the recorded "clean" signal in CEP?
Oct 12, 2006 11:46 pm Setting soundcard recorder to "what you hear" doesnt work, i need it set to aux in order to record multiple tracks without previous tracks rerecording. im not quit sure how i am supposed to record a rock song with a clean sound then add effects..the result will be nothing close to what the song sounds like. i need to record in real time with the desired sound. the only way i see to do it is to buy all the effects i need(lots of money) and run the guitar thru them before it gets to the soundcard. i know with todays technology there has to be someway to record a signal with effects in real time, i just need to find it.

I think this is the case. I'm pretty sure that you can't monitor effects in realtime unless you upgrade to Audition.
