So, I just bought a Microkorg, and I wanted to record some stuff with it. I know I need to plug it into my sound card, but I just don't know where from the Microkorg I should hook up to...
There is a picture of the back of the Microkorg. Now from where exactly do I plug into my soundcard? Thanks!

Sep 13, 2006 07:43 pm outputs of the korg to inputs of the soundcard. And if you've only one input, then only use the Left (mono) output of the korg :)

Sep 14, 2006 09:30 am It's been bantered around, that plugging keyboards into an amp, and speaker cabinet, then mic'ing the cabinet gets better results.
I know that's subjective, but it's been stated a few times, so I'd think it's worth trying, if you got the equipment.
I'd be inclined to try it too, when I start recording my keys.
Sep 14, 2006 11:13 am I would definitly plug the keyboard into an amp and then mic the amp. It'll sounds less "sterile". That's just my opinion.
Sep 20, 2006 06:46 pm I don't think MicroKorg into an amp is a really good way to record it. MK is stereo for one and is "electronic" sounding by design. Direct recording through a good interface (Toneport for me baby) is the best option.
