Triggers Question..

I was thing about investing in some triggers for my kit. Just for the kick and snare to start. I was thinking of getting the ddrum triggers but then someone said to me that these will not work with my roland drum module.

The triggers are here:

And this is my drum module:

Are triggers designed to work only with certain modules? I was under the impression you could use any triggers with any module.

well, ya can if you have the right adaprtors...the d-drums use xlr conectors, and i beleive your roland has 1/4"....so i guess a simple adaptor will work...i'm not 100% positive on that though.

I would absolutely check with either dDrum or with the store you are looking at. They will be happy to let you know if it simply takes a special cable from them. I believe they use the XLR connecter for security. And then simply run to a 1/4" on the other end.

Dont quote me on that though. I know guys who use them with the Alesis DM5 and it has 1/4" trigger inputs as do most drum modules.
