Here's a first mix so i know there's plenty critique here. I'm getting close to doing a second mix, so if you would, let me know what needs to be changed or improved on. Thanks.

Hey nice song I like everything. I dont have much time but from a quick listen the vocals might be a little too up front at some points for my liking. Also, I think some more reverb would help the snare out in the mix.

Not bad for a first mix. I agree a bit more reverb and maybe some compression on the drums. Things sound a bit muffled to me. Maybe roll off a bit of the low end on the vocals. Basically I think the mix just needs a bit of clarity.

I agree that the mix for the most part is pretty good. The female vox get a little burried behind the male vox at times. I would indeed try setting at least the male vox backa bit and blending in some gentle reverb to settle the vox in with the rest of the mix.

the guitar is panned a little heavy to the right side. OR at least the right side guitar is much louder then the left. It kind of unbalances the mix a tiny bit. I would honestly try bringing the right side guitar back just a pinch in its loudest parts and bring it back toward the center just a little.

Otherwise, loved the song. Very well done vocally.

Sky, I like it, as far the mix, I'm in agreement with the previous posts. I wanted to say I liked tohe vocal alot. With all the constant vibrato and embellishements in much of today's music, its a really nice to break to hear just straight up vocals, not held back, not barfed in your face, just good solid tone. Good job .

Thank you very much Noize2u, olddog, Josh Rose and carbonic44. I really appreciate the listen and feedback. All of what you mentioned confirms what i believe needs to be worked on for the second mix which should be done soon. Thanks.

yeah, need more woman! err... female vox is buried :)

better than my first mix...

to be really nit picky...
to me: (in no perticular order)
1. distorted guitar is softer than clean...
2. I would rather the female vox were lead and male were supporting... especially since in the picture she only does vocals.
3. male vox has the punk nasal/muffeled sound... which is fine for punk..
4 I "think" male vox go off key in spots... but I'm a drummer and know little of such things.

Indeed that is much better the guitarpparts seem to mesh a little better now. And vox match up pretty well. They may be a little bit over the the guitars yet, but after listening a couple more times it seems to wrk out pretty well as they kind of lead the melody along. The lead guitar seemed to fit in a little better now as well.
