Just buffering on my ultra slow internet:

I think the mix is fantastic dude! You can hear everything pretty clearly. The only thing I would do is make the bass a bit more audible, but I tend to mix the bass way too loud anyway.

Drums have a killer tone, and you get the click of the double click without losing the nice low end thud.

Great playing as well and awesome song. You guys sound pretty tight. When the vocals are done it'll go straight on my iPod.

Gotta agree with CS, the mix sonds pretty good from here. The bass does seem to go away here and there so you might want to work on that.

Not sure whether to blame the SC player for this but it is a very low level file. Meaning the overall volume is way low. You might want to try and maximize it to somewhere around -3 to -2dB to get it louder. I compared it with a normal file and your only peaking around -10dB or less on my desk compared to other files which are up at the level I stated above.

Otherwise, liked the guitar sound and the drums as CS stated are very clear and nicel mixxed.

Noize

ok first of all, the bassist did this song in one shot and had only played with us maybe 5 times... so he didnt know the song too well. he just stopped playing sometimes so i cant really help that... we're gonna redo the bass line anyways cuz now saun's our bassist (that one was andy)

socondly, cant figure out how to get the song any louder without clipping on sonar. it pisses me off so damn much! is a maximizer a plug-in er something?

and last, thanks alot on the props. i need so get the snare sounding less muffled. most of my works went into the kick and the toms because my band members constantly complained about how they didnt have enough power to them

Well if you dont have a maximizer pluggin you can use the normalize function in Sonar. Simply mix your tracks down and export them as a stereo mix. Then bring it in as a stereo track, and then choose normalize which the defualt is I believe set to add 3dB. Then check with the scale on the side of the track view to see if you are peaking anywhere near the -3dB mark or so. If not, simply undo the normalize and then redo it with a higher setting like 4dB and try again. You will find it gets easier the more you do it.

Otherwise if you have a 2 track editor like Wavelab or SoundForge there are maiximizer pluggins built into those applications.
