Apr 09, 2006 08:39 pm What do you have at your disposal now? Got a reel-to-reel 2- or 4-track recorder laying around? How about a good (I mean *good*) cassette deck? Got a computer? Got a sound card? What kind?
How many piece band, what do you mic, if anything, and what kind of FOH mixer? Do you have another mixer available? How much control do you want over this recording?

Apr 10, 2006 06:29 pm If you only have access to a 2 track machine try and get a live feed from the FOH mixer. Or if you have more then one track see if he can give you a bussed feed or feed from several Aux sends.
