I am wanting to come out of the Echo DJ card to a Live Console during a Live performance. I want to split my tracks left and right so the engineer has control over the computer. I was looking to get these cables ( I would get two )www.monstercable.dk/pro_a...e=Interconnects
but they are really expensive and I wasn't sure if there were better quality cables for a lower price? also... Are these the best cables (1/8" to 1/4" ) to use in this type of application?
Thank You... Chris Roblee

Mar 26, 2006 10:20 pm Honestly in the live situation you are going to be in. There isnt going to be much in the way of anything as good quality wise as the Monster Cable you are looking at for that kind of price.
Hosa does offer the same type of cable for a fraction of the cost. But the quality is not going to be anywhere near that of the other cable.
I found one that goes to XLR here. www.soundprofessionals.co...&type=store
Not sure of the quality there either. But the price for something at a length you can use live would probably bring it up to the price of the Monster cabel anyway.
You can also look to build your own if you so desire. It would end up being slightly cheaper if you have the time to do something like that.
