I haven't had a chance to upload it to my FTP server yet but I would appreciate it if you gave my new track, "the mourning", a listen to over at my MySpace (link above). It's a piano/vocals song a la Dallas Green. Please post all comments here! Thank you!

Nice vocal, is that you? Very nice, very good intonation too. I think you might want to work on that one high note in your head voice (falsetto). Just a little pitchy; it's kind-of a focal point of the song, so it's important to nail it every time. The piano part sounds a little mechanical to me. Did you record it via MIDI and quantize it? The melody is really very good and memorable. I really enjoyed this...

Hello,

Yes, that is me singing and I think I will re-sing a few of those falsetto notes (some sounded off but I am never sure if it's just me being overly-critical).

As for the piano, it's not quantized at all and I found my play quite sloppy (I played the song once and just sort of let my emotions guide me through the chording and rhythm).

Thanks for the comments.

I got it to work. Very nice piece of music. Very solomn bit of music. The piano is very light and airy sounding. Was that the Roland you used for the piano? I liked the slight echo you used on the vocal. Nice mix between the piano and the vocal as well.

I enjoyed the music very much, an easy piece to listen to indeed. Nice voice by the way.

mac, sometimes even when the player wont work on myspace you can still get the tune to download. Try that and see. Otherwise just be patient and try myspace again.

Or after midnight central time. Except on weekend though. Then the 5:00am pacific might work better as the kiddies arent up yet.

mac, the download is on the bottom line beneath the description of each tune. Straight right from the play song words. I just checked and they are there to download for sure.

I dunno wheather i'm being particuarly dumb today but i see no download button at all. The player is completely blank except for the play/pause etc buttons at the top and the myspace logo at the bottom right. In the middle it usually says 'loading XML file' At the mo it says 'connecting'.

This song is pretty good I must say. I like the piano part. the vocals sounded pretty good. just a thought but maybe adding some harmonies at the end of the song?

Otherwise sounds good/

Hello,

I thought that harmonies would add to the end of the song as well and actually have already made a new version with them included (not on MySpace, though). Thanks for the comments, everyone.

mac, I was mixed up on the thread I was answering. The download is right below the song title o the left of that line.

And yes, the player will load very slowly sometimes, be patient. It was just working very fast right at this moment.

Nah, the whole things blank noize. White to the right, Grey to the left, no songtitles, description, nothing. It was 'connecting' when i got to work at 5pm and still 'connecting' when i left at 3am.

Dunno what its trying to connect with, Saturn maybe.....

Yah, if its blank then your not getting connected properly at my space. Have you tried it at home or anything?

I know there have been days even here with a T-1 plus line and it wont even load in an hour. So blame it on myspace for sure.
