Hey Noize, the first 15 (or some 15 minutes anyway) of rough-cut of "Other Court" is here so we can start watching and planning out our score for it. WooHoo! Gonna see what my new sound card is really made of now! And even the Philips I am beta testing when we get down to the surround encoding.

Sep 12, 2002 09:26 pm You getta do a score. Thats freakin awesome.
Sep 13, 2002 05:14 am Ya, it's gonna be fun, we are doing the whole sound track, music scores (and some canned music, The Doors "The End" is gonna be over part of it) sound effects, smoothing out line delivery and all that stuff...it's a 1 hours indie film called "Other Court" that is a dark vampire movie of sorts. We were gonna be in it too as extras, but my daughter kept me up all night the night before and I couldn't get there...

Sep 13, 2002 05:51 am hey dude, I'm a manager at a theatre... see if they can get a print of it on 35 millimeter film down here and I'll see about getting it played.
Sep 13, 2002 07:04 am very cool, will do, though it won't be done for a few months yet. But thanks for the offer, I will definetly check it out.

Sep 14, 2002 11:05 am That would be kool Loki. I will try to call you on Saturday dB, and see if we can hook up this weekend yet. I have to try and schedule some babe that want's to lay some vocal track's over stereo track's she allready has. I think she can do it in one take, so it shouldn't be to bad. Then I will give ya a ring.
Sep 14, 2002 02:46 pm Hey, I just watched a bit of it, pretty cool, decent vampire movie, a little blood and guts, pretty neat. There will be some trouble spot though, most wind noise and stuff happens when there is no talking, so that is easy to take care of, but a couple car scenes will be tough, road noise and such while there is talking...we might have our talents tested on this one, tough guy :-)

Sep 15, 2002 05:56 pm So are you guys writing the soundtrack too, or just mixing it?

Sep 15, 2002 06:11 pm The whole thing baby. Writing and recording and all that messy stuff. Does this mean I have to put Nuendo in now?
Sep 15, 2002 09:21 pm hehehe, ya do that Noize ;-)
And yes, we are writing and performing the sound track, editing and mixing the dialog and sound effects and the whole deal!

Sep 15, 2002 11:13 pm Cool, send me a copy of it on CD when it gets done?
Sep 16, 2002 04:48 am OK, but it will be a DVD.
Hey Noize, do me a favor when you have time, install Nuendo and see how Nuendo handles your SB Live surround card (you do have the 5.1 surround version of Live, right?). Right now my Philips beta card and the Acoustic Edge don't work for panning around the stereo or surround field. Presumably because Philips only makes WDM drivers. In the beta program I am begging and pleading for ASIO drivers, but I dunno how far it will get.
Or, anyone else using Nuendo, let meknow if you use WDM drviers and get good surround mixing, I can do it from my Audiophile, but my surround speakers only have analog ins, not S/PDIF and that is what my Audiohpile puts out it's surround.
Little help anyone?
Sep 18, 2002 04:58 am If anyone want to see a trailer for the movie:
www.dbmasters.net/hrc/elements/trailer.ram
You need RealPlayer and a quick internet connection.
Noize and I have nothing to do with the music on this piece.
