sm58 sm57... nothing fancy. they just need to hear you.

of course there are things like the Big knob from Mackie with talkback functions built in

my friend's studio just used some Nady Star power mics.. they're really cheap.. imo, u dont need a quality mic.. just for them to hear you :)

i like to use a cheap-o mic with an on/off switch on it, so i can turn it off when i'm not usin' it..... 10 dollars at radio shack.
