About Graham Smith

Started putting together my home studio in the 70's when I was in my teens (back when there was only analog and the smallest computers filled a warehouse). As a keyboard player (started off on piano), my biggest influences were people/bands like Rick Wakeman/ Yes, Elton John, Keith Emerson, Jethro Tull, Kansas, etc - in fact any of the "super" groups of the 70's that had a keyboard player!

Have had a succession of keyboards and synths over the years, including my first - the original Roland EP10 electric piano, Roland SH5 synth, Korg Mono/Poly, and the Roland MKB1000 MIDI controller and piano module.

I just play and compose for my own enjoyment, and my preparedness to spend money on my hobby greatly exceeds my ability, but it keeps me happy and off the streets.

Over the years I have had several hiatuses from the hobby as university, work and family have intervened at different points! Have recently jumped in to the computer music arena and that has reinvigorated my interest. Finding this web site is helping me feel part of a larger musical community.
