I've been playing guitar for 20 years; starting with Heavy Metal in the mid-eighties then went into progressive rock and jazzier stuff.
My favorite bands are King Crimson, Anekdoten, Voivod, Boud Deun, Radiohead, Genesis (Gabriel era)...
I have almost no experience on the recording field except some sessions with a 4 tracks Tascam portastudio.
The PC can now be a powerful recording tool and I wish to attack the lurning curve and finally get some music recorded
I've already learned a lot here just reading the so many interesting posts and advices from the masters...
With my childhood friend Frank on the keys (EDIROL midi controller) we are doing some tracks mixing heavy stuff with classic 70's sound involving lots of Mellotron (M-tron) and Purple-esque B3 (NI B4).
Recently we decided to take the jump with Sonar 6.01 but have so much to learn merely scratching its surface...I guess some of my questions are gonna be answered here.
