Pitch Shifting?
I use some pitchshifting (-1.5) one my vocals (Death Metal) when I record and now I want to do the same thing while playing live and during band practice. What would I need to achive this live?

I am assuming I need something for my mic to go into and then into the PA system / mixing board.

Any recomendations, comments, questions would be great.

Thank you.

RIG HELP PLEASE
I just need to know if there is anything I should be adding to my rig to reduce bussing and hissing. I have a lot of pedals, and rack mount equipment in my set up. The pedals are running through a looping systems that offer actual bypass, I know that helps with the noise. Is there anything out there that pro rigs have that I don't know about. I've been looking at some pro rigs sych as david gilmour...and he's got a ton of stuff all running through his rig...

How do they keep all the noise down??

Look at my profile to see what I am running in my rig. I may be hooking it up wrong.

Firestudio Vs M Audio Project Mix?
Im debating wheather to purchase a Firestudio an M Audio Project Mix. I keep hearing that "the firestudio might have better pre amps but for the money the M Audio is amazing" I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about either one. I like having the option to work in pro tools so im leaning towards the M Audio but if the firestudio has better pre amps im not sure.

Any input would be awesome, Thanks!

(Nuendo) Can I Create A Midi Sequance With Out A Usb Controller?

If any one can help me would be greatfull. New to nuendo and was wondering if a simple sequance like g d g d can be created with out a usb controller.

What I have done.

Opened a midi track and routed it through monologue vsti.

MIDI -> Merge MIDI In Loop, un sure which to select ticked all 3 -> Opened Key Editor.

Made my sequance.

Hit play, unfortunatly no sound even though "play line" ran over the notes.

Interestingly if I click on the keys to the left they produce a monologue sound.

If there is some way to play a sequance with out a controller would be great to know how.

Also how do I make it a track?

I want to build stuff!
In my teenage quest for superior knowledge and my constant lust for audio equipment, I have decided to venture down the rabbit hole of electronic design.

I have collected a number of schematics and part lists for everything from pre's to ring mods. Problem is I don't know what all the squiggly lines do....

Can anybody reccomend any good books/net resources/kit sets to kick off my new passion?

ASAP! Can't wait to get started :-).

Cheers,

Toneport UX2 ???
I'm new to recording so bear with me. This question probably pertains to any audio interface but I'm leaning towards the UX2 because of a previous post pjk so helpfully replied to. I just want to understand how this works.
guitar>ux2>usb cable>computer>gear box software for modeling>recording software>usb cable>ux2>monitors or headphones
Is that correct and if so... is it correct that when I strum the guitar I will hear it through the monitors or headphones at the same time with the modeling applied?
If not... how does it work?

Thanks in advance for any help.
