Philips chose me to help beta test there next generation 5.1 surround sound card! I already have the Acoustic Edge, and it is pretty cool (though has some issues in a studio environment). They are now building a new 5.1 card, I applied to be one of 400 beta testers and they chose me, I should get the card in the next 2 weeks!!!!!
How cool is that! I dunno what made them pick me, but I am sure glad they did!

Aug 20, 2002 09:01 am It's cool enough just getting a new sound card, but getting one (or more, I will get a few during the course of the test) for free and being directly involved in it's development and direction is even cooler. Maybe I can beat on Philips enough to finally start developing ASIO drivers! Their WDM drivers are very good, but ASIO...that would (or will ;-) ROCK!
I would love to have a great 5.1 card to start recommending that I can say I helped develop from the ground up!

Aug 20, 2002 11:58 am Hopefully ya'll know me well enough to know it will only get plugs if I honestly feel it is a card worthy of studio use...and if it is WATCH OUT, cuz there will be plugs-a-plenty!
