Hi there. Please take a little time to read the "Recording Tips", the "studio Equipment", "Help & References" boards on the right hand side of the screen, and many of the threads already posted. I'm sure you'll find so much information there. I'm not a moderator, or contributor to HRC, just a fan, and a pro member (worth every penny!!!!). I'm not sure if it's my place to say it, but WELCOME TO HRC! There's so much information here.
How much equipment do you have already? Please fill out your profile. Your PC is a good start! There are many good applications to help you; but we'd need to see where you stand already, and where you want to go with it. You'll find HRC a great reasource for gear, advice, encouragement, and tips. Do some homework first (by using the already available resources), and then work out what you need from there.
A soundcard is usually the first move, but I can't really say without knowing where you are already.

You'll love it here. Have fun!
