Sitting down to do my first recording, and running into an issue.
I'm running my Line6 amp to my M-audio, and recording through Kristal. This part works like a charm. Then I plug my mic into the back, turn on the phantom power, and record my vocals. But when I playback, the vocals are about 2 seconds behind the guitar line. Sorry if that's pretty vague, but any ideas?

Jan 28, 2006 10:01 pm First off, make sure you have the latest drivers for your M-Audio card off of their website.
Then make sure that you're using their ASIO drivers in Kristal:
Before you arm your track, down on the mixer window, at the bottom under Audio Output, make sure to select your M-Audio device's ASIO drivers. This allows you to select the M-Audio's ASIO in as your input source. But this also means that you have to monitor via your M-Audio card's outputs.
Its a latency issue, and M-Audio's WDM drivers are pretty slow. Their ASIO drivers are pretty slick, and they keep the latency down to just a few milliseconds instead of a couple of seconds.

Jan 29, 2006 11:54 am Hey there Rob. Make a mental note that HRC can be pretty quiet on the weekends, so no-one responding quckly is probably due to that. Post on a weekday, and you'll be surprized at how many responses you'll get.
Secondly, Tadpui is on the money!

Jan 30, 2006 09:07 am To "correct" what you've done, you can "slide" the tracks back in forth in time by click-holding with the mouse and dragging left or right. You'll probably have to "slide" your first track back (to the right)... Is there a latency compensation somewhere in Kristal?
