if you cant do it, will you ask Noize or something. i'd really rather have one of you two do it.

They have an excellent FREE MP3 converter. No connection to dBMasters (at least not to my knowlege) :)

Jan 17, 2006 08:54 pm All the necessary tools are available online for free. Look up the Lame Encoder...
winlame.sourceforge.net/
Jan 17, 2006 08:56 pm sorry, I didn't see the thread until just nopw. Get Audacity and get the mp3 encoder, you'll have one for life...for free...

There's a 30 day trial? I've had mine for at least a year. I think that you're referring to the "power pack" upgrade, which is unnecessary for converting Mp3's, unless they've changed that.
Jan 18, 2006 03:54 pm itunes has one built in too and it's free last i checked

Jan 18, 2006 06:19 pm ok ill look through those links
mine has a 30 day trial for mp3s and unlimited for wma.
thanks everyone!
Jan 18, 2006 06:20 pm Windows media player will also rip audio cd's to mp3's if you tell it to. You may have to burn the file to a cd, then rip it...lol. Seems convoluted doesn't it?

Jan 18, 2006 10:16 pm Yep, dBpoweramp has changed the rules. It used to be all free but it now only runs the mp3 part for 30 days. You also have to pay if you want other codecs. audacity is probably the best bet, and as stated. Free for life.
Jan 19, 2006 07:27 am Bummer RE: the DBPOwerAmp - I used that a lot...ack well, I do have plenty other ways to do it but I liked its quick click simplicity for converting etc...
Anyhoo, there are MANY other (good) freeware apps out there that will do the job.
Cheers
Coco.
Jan 19, 2006 07:30 am Then again, most any decent mastering program and tracking program has some sort of mp3 encoding option in it...
Jan 19, 2006 08:48 am sticadokid,
Your profile says you use Sonar 3.0...doesn't that have some way of saving as an .mp3?

Jan 19, 2006 07:34 pm well, i kinda got a bunch of programs burned from a friend and he told me not to register so i only had that .mp3 converter for 30 days too...
i found out last night that he burned me some native instruments stuff and pro tools LE. pro tools just HAS to have heir own cards and driver though, so it wont let me use my delta :(
last night my dad said he would go into the registry files and make it to where i can use the db power amp forever. unless, of course, they encrypted the file that has the 30 day date. he did that to a game that my sister downloaded once that had a 15 day trial.
