I'm mastering a few live tracks for some bands at the moment and was wondering, how can I get 'album art' to load up (eg. into the windows media player window) when the CD loads??

I'm creating CD's using the audio montage function in wavelab.

Cheers

Only a few things can be "autorun" when inserting a CD, look at any program installer CD and see the autorun files and such...what you would be creating is an enhanced CD, which I don't believe WaveLab creates but can easily be done in Nero or EZ CD Creator.

also, submit the cd info to gracenote : www.gracenote.com/music/

that way, whenever it plays, WMP will connect to Gracenote and know what the track names are and so on

Also known as CDDB which is now part of gracenote as well. There are some other data bases out there as well, but I believe some of them not only have their own but feed off of gracenote as well.

But as dB stated if you want it to load when the CD is put in you will have to do it in Nero or EZ Cd Creator.

Cheers guys....

Jeez, you think wavelab, a professional mastering app would be able to do that.

Thanks for the gracenote link flame, that was my next question.

Mastering applications arent necessarily used to folks who are mastering songs etc...they can be used in many parts of the process i.e. cleaning up audio, normalising etc...so, perhaps not such an aodd ommission when ya look it like that.

Granted tho, would be cool if it DID do it.

For info, I usually make my enhanced CD's using a combination of HTML/CSS web pages, flash and Nero to generate and burn the disc with a wee auto.exe file to kick it all off.

There's a few examples on my website but aye, its all a case of a simple job in Nero to make the Enhanced CD, the content is where it gets down to what you want/need.

Anyways, good luck CS...

Honestly though WAvelab is not meant to replace the applications like Nero or EZ coaster creator. It will do most of the stuff, but was not meant to deal with data only audio. So it does make sense that it isnt in there.
