Behringer FCA202 F-Control FireWire Audio Interface

service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

2 in 2 out, 1/4" jacks 24bit/96khz firewire interface for $79...it comes with Ableton Live 4 Behinger Edition, Kristal Audio Engine and Audacity...runs on Windows and Mac with WDM, ASIO and MME drivers. The specs read pretty decent.

I'm gonna be interested to see any forthcoming reviews or editorials on this product.

I'd try to review it myself but behinger never even returns my emails, so screw 'em...I guess they are too good to advertise on a little site like HRC.

well, the specs given are decient... but none of them measure quality. If a spec s isn't given then I just assume that it's so bad the company doesn't want people to know about it. there's no S/N ratio, %THD, or even frequency response...

I'm looking for a firewire interface for my Mac to record with GarageBand. I have an M-Audio MobilePre USB, and it's not really doing it for me. I have had my eye on the Presonus Inspire 1394, but that's $200. $79 is more like it. However, you probably get what you pay for. I notice that the Behringer unit comes bundled with Audacity and Kristal. Wow...now that's generous!!

I own a few Behringer products, and I've been really pleased with all of them. Maybe I'll take a chance???

Just bought myself an early Christmas present:

Behringer FCA202 F-Control FireWire Audio Interface

This MobilePre USB just isn't getting the job done...

dB, I'll be happy to share me experiences with the unit as soon as I get it! (I didn't go through MF because I wanted to use my PayPal funds....)

time for guitar jim to upgrade himself from member status to contributor status.

Ya know, I should make a private forum for contributors and start making article writers have a more definate say in the direction of HRC...hmmmm, food for thought whilst drinking this weekend...

The wifey and I are on our way out right now to drink a few beers.

And, yes you can count on the contribution. You know, I'm becoming quite a whiz with GarageBand, if you think there is an audience for such a thing I'll put something together...

I'm quite sure there is. I have noticed many of the newer users here with it. GarageBand I mean.

I got my Behringer FCA202 Firewire Audio Interface. I have it hooked up and have even done a little recording with it. So far so good. I'm working on a full-fledged review to sumit to the editors of HRC for their approval.
