This is part 1 of a 3 part piece, a VERY rough mix (the final version will have the countin lopped off), called "Dust Remembers".

Lawrence Welk fans may want to leave the room--

Twisted, oh ya!!!

It reminded me a little bit of a piece by a band called Blood Rock from the early 70's. I liked it though for sure. Cant wwait to hear the finished mix.

Thanks Noize2U!! I'm about 2/3 done with the piece, adding in all kinds of craziness like looped owls, spooky percussions and whatever else comes to mind for the mid-section. All told, it'll probably be a 9 minute piece.

Wow, Bloodrock, haven't heard those guys in eons! Just curious, what piece did it remind you of? Were their albums as good as that one song DOA?

Well, they kinda strayed around as far as style goes. The last 2 album's they did were more progressive like the DOA track was. But their first album's were kinda more rock oriented laced with some prog type stuff.

I dont remember the name of the tune, but if I dig around I will probably remember it and I'll let ya know.

Indeed though, cant wait to hear were you go with this tune.

Not what i expected. Much better. I figured thrash stuff. Alice cooper would have loved you in '72
(thats the best name for a tune ever- Alice cooper loved you in 72)
i really dig it. aint it great to not have to report to an exec who would say "i dont hear a chorus? this wont sell"
good stuff and keep up original work.....

THE OWL REPLIES: Glad you liked it Tony (cool song title idea there BTW!)

It is PRICELESS to thumb your nose at the record-biz bigwigs who know ZERO about music. Thrash eh? Hmmm, whooooooo knows, maybe a prog cover of the Dead Kennedy's "Stealing People's Mail" wouldn't be out of the question.
