I done a long post in the Talking Smack section but this post purely relates to the song so, if you dont want to read the big uelogy to Lennon, then here is the song. Also, feel free to leave critique/input on the song here should you wish rather than the other post...

This was our Xmas collab last year...with:

Guitar Jim: Vocals, Rhythm Guitars
OldDog: Vocals, Drums, Percussion
Flame: Vocals
Coolo: Violins, Vocals
Me: Lead Guitar, Vocals

www.breverwebdesign.com/HRC/happyxmas.mp3

25 years to the day since John was killed so, Merry Christmas JL, wherever ye may be. Enjoy...I'll leave this up til around Xmas, then I'll take it down again.

Noize2U is also preparing a fresh mix so look out for that too....it should be awesome!

Cheers

Coco.

Aye - tis no bad Olddog...I need to fix my own vocals tho..I overcompressed the hell out of them and on their own, they sound real bad (audio wise!!)...but, the rest of the mix and the performances are good!

Indeed, it was fun.

We MUST all get a big collab on the go again soon in the new year, after the festivities are passed!

Cheers

Nice...

Presley - ye know, I have 2 slots on there as you will hear so if ye ever wanna slam in a stanza, I'd happily drop one of mine for you to get in on it...I never wanted 2 slots anyway!!

You can think aboot it..plenty time before next year and I think, a bit of a tidy-up/remix is in order from me...some rough bits I'd like to fix.

Xmas 2006, new, improved version methinks :-) !

Cheers

Well I am gonna have to throw in the towel this year as I dont think I will make it before Xmass eve with the remix. Too much choppin and hackin and not enough time to do it proper.

I guess maybe I shouldn't have tried to get all the original insturment's to fit and it mighta made it to this year's post.

But as coco said, there is always next year. Which means I got a full year to chop at it. So Presley, for sure get with coco and get your stanza in.

Coco, I will email ya with were mine sit's and how it ended up taking so dang long. Let's just say thing's drifted a bit and it took way more cuttin then I expected when I dropped in a sequanced beat. But in the end, I would rather do it up proper and not post a shoddy mix. Especially if its representing the HRC collabrative.

Presley, after the year when it all calms doon a bit, I'll fire you the file with a slot for a stanza for ye...would be awesome.

We can get it nailed and I'll add it to next years Xmas remix I Plan on doing!!

Noize, wise move. I have (in the past) over eagerly put out some poor mixes which I have regretted when I done it...so, good move my man.

Though I will say, I cannot WAIT to hear it...should be cool bud.

All the best

Coco.

Ya, I think I went a little overboard which caused the need for all the excess work. I really wanted to still incorperate everyone's mucial bit's and being that it was pretty much live drum's it was difficult to get every thing lined up as it drifted away from the original time signiture. So far I have almost 30 hour's of cutting and pasting time and I'm not even half way there yet.

It also may be cause I am a picky SOB and want everything just perfect. You'll see what I mean though as I will send ye the first off when I get closer.

So as soon as you get Presley's part let me know and I'll pop that in as well.

Nice one Noize, I will indeed be looking forward to this one very much!

Re: Presley and vocals ... nae worries. I'll sort this oot with the man himself, get some vocals (Presley, I'll be in touch with some stuff for ye) for this as soon as I get this next couple of weeks out the way...mad busy finishing mixing the band demo (Soon to let ye all hear my first cut of my own band's demo, all done live (well, in takes :-) !!

Anyways, be back at ya soon on this one Noize/Presley...

Cheers

Coco.

P.S. Worst comes to the worst, we have another 300+ days til next Xmas :-)
