Here's my first home recording, an improvisational piece.

I would right click and save, it's 10 megs. 5.5 minutes of music.

Tell me what you think, what you would change, add, whatever.

Thanks in advance,

James

James, welcome to HRC.

Musically I would not change a thing. That is a wonderfull piece. The single backing guitar keep's the interest on the solo guitar. Soome might find it sparse but I find it interesting.

Sonicly I guess I am hearing a lot of midrange tone. Mostly in the backing guitar track. But also in the solo guitar as well. I would try and fill that in a little bit with some gentle EQ of the lower end.

I am not sure if that was what you were going for or not though, so take it with a grain of salt.

There is a nice room sound in the recording's though. I am curious where you recorded to get that sound. Or did you add some reverb?

As well, curious as to your recording set up as well. What mic or mic's did you use to record? And are you recordng to PC, what software?

All in all, very nice sound for a first crack at recording indeed, impressive.
