I brought this card from newegg and it has dual head capabilities. However one of the outputs is not working. Could it be some sort of setting issue ? Do I need to use any utility to enable dual monitors ? I wanted to check with you guys before I RMA this card.

misthana, I don't use the card, but you might give the matrox forums a try: forum.matrox.com/mga/index.php

From a post in the matrox forum:

Go to display properties, settings, advanced, dual head, expand features, double click on dualhead multi display. Here you should see an option to select separate resolution and color palette. Apply and reboot. Now in settings tab you will see two monitors where each can be controlled individually and the task bar will be on the primary monitor.

If option is not there:

Uninstall the Matrox drivers using the "PowerDesk Uninstaller" from here www.matrox.com/mga/suppor...s/ftp_util2.cfm
Then download and install the latest 5.93.009 drivers from here www.matrox.com/mga/support/drivers/latest/home.cfm

When you start the installation of the 5.93 drivers the first page to appear is the Matrox Powerdesk Setup page. Before you click NEXT, you will need to select ADD EXTRA "DUAL HEAD MULTI DISPLAY" SUPPORT. From this point the rest of the installation is as any other driver installation. Once completed, the install wizard will ask you to reboot. Once you have rebooted, a window should come up. You will need to put a check mark in the Use dual head display field and will need to select between:
Separate resolutions and color palettes for both displays
Or
Same resolutions and color palette for both displays
Select the separate and then select OK and you will be prompted to reboot.
Upon reboot, your display properties should open and you should see two monitors labeled 1 and 2. Monitor 2 should appear grayed out. Click on monitor 2 and you should have an option beneath it stating "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor. Then you can set the second monitor to the resolution you wish.

I believe this post was in reference to the 450, so the driver links may or may not be applicable to the 650.
