Hi, new to forum.
Is there any difference between a mackie 1202 vlz pro and a mackie 1202 micro in terms of quality preamps, etc. I don't know much about home recording but i figure it's time i start. Right now it's just me and a tascam 4 track and a SM57.
Thanks

Welcome aboard jojo ! Aren't those mixers the same animal, with just part of the nomenclature being different ?

Never heard a bad thing about a Mackie, 'cept about the cost, but you get a good product for the money .

If you are recording with an SM57 and onto a four track I would suggest you wouldn't even notice much of a difference if there is any...

however, literature referrers to both as having "XDR® studio-grade mic pre-amps", so I am guessing they are likely the same preamp.
