I plan to push the tempo up and to ditch the xyllophone.

Hey man,

Not too familiar with this kind of stuff but I love folk. It's strange how much the feel of this piece has in common with instrumental celtic folk even though its thousands of miles removed. Either way I guess they both share vey anciet roots. blah blah. sorry.

I think you'd be right to cut the xyllophone out a tad after that reedy, flute, pipe thing comes in as it sounds ever so slightly cluttered.

Otherwise I liked the xyllophone for the difference in tone that it gave to the piece.

I like the tempo. Its the right speed for the effect it creates if you get me. How much would you speed it up?

I have three bells (a wind up fire alarm, a solid brass bell, and a great sounding light fitting, oh and some of those chinese balls. which sound cool. I want to make some ambient effects through layers and not mess with the sound too much. Any advice?

Gongchime, I gotta admit I like that piece. Again, very soothing. How much of a tempo increase are you thinking of? I think it would become a differant piece with too much of an increase. I was trying to hear what you dont like about the xyllophone but it didnt seem too out of place to me. I like the quiet flute solo as well, fits nicely. As for the mix, you caught a very natural sound with most of the instruments.

I am going to have to take a bit of time and listen to some more of your tracks on Broadjam for sure.
