Hi I am new to HRC. I noticed several of you have a Philips PSC906 as a secondary soundcard. I did a search for that model on the internet and couldn't find anything. What are its specs? Is it any good, and if it is where do I buy one?
Any help/info would be greatly appreciated (as well as suggestions for other sound cards).

Oct 08, 2005 09:55 am I was part of the beta team that tested the 906 sound card for Philips...as well as a couple others. I looked around for spec web pages and couldn't find any, but, I will tell you from in-depth personal experience that the 906, while being a decent card for system sounds, gaming and such, really isn't any good beyond that, meaning, that for home studio use it's no better or worse than any soundblaster or soundblaster knockoff.

Oct 08, 2005 11:07 am How would it compare to an Audigy?
Oct 08, 2005 12:03 pm better than the cheap original audigy's, not as good as the new ones...but for home recording purposes, they all suck.
