Howdy everyone! I have been busy as heck lately working on new material and just plain working in the real world. I hope you don't mind commenting on this song. It's caled Love Songs From Heaven, and it's pretty damn sad, so be warned.

it is available in my profile

- i really enjoyed your track- very well put together, lyrics and voice. I like the use of the strings.

Acoustic sounds nice...like how you panned an acoustic track on each side...

vox are superb...you have a good voice and you've captured it well here.

synth is effective and not overbearing...

hopefully the message in this song isn't from a personal experience...

it is certainly sad..

Thanks for the input guys. This is a song about a grandparent. The story is imagined however.

I gotta agree, very nice indeed. I like the strings as well, they add something to the smoothness of the tune. They also blend well with your voice. Nice choice of string patch as well.

Cool song. I recently lost my grandmother (this August) to cancer.

My newbie ears say everything blends together very well.

Thanks for the comments Noize, Ken.
The string patch was a combination of instruments in Hypersonic. String section, Flute and I believe a vocal patch called Ariel.

Definitely a good song man.

The only thing that I'd add other than echoing the other sentiments, is that there is a whole bunch of compression in there somewhere. I can't pin it down exactly...

If its a multi-band mastering-type compression, then I think the mids and/or upper mids are set a little too aggresively. Or it may just be on the keys and vocals where I'm hearing it.

but the vocal performance is so solid that it doesn't need all that compression to bring it out. Its kinda like the pretty girl that doesn't need to wear all that makeup in order to look pretty :-D
