Alright, so I've gone into fruityloops, made a wav file I wanna use, export it as a wav, open it up in sonar and it's playing back slower and just generally crappier... anyone know what's up?

Dec 18, 2002 03:43 pm Watch the tempo. When you open a track in Sonar, it defaults to 100 bpm. That could have something to do with your problem. If that's not it, check to make sure the sampling rate is the same between what you saved in FL and what Sonar is wanting to play back. Good luck.

Dec 18, 2002 09:25 pm alright, how do I go about adjusting the tempo in sonar and changing the sampling rates?
Dec 20, 2002 05:30 pm Well, after you do your Fruity Loops thing, you export to WAV. Then you open Sonar and you stick an Audio track in there. I don't know how you have it open, but I make it open blank, so I can add what I want as far as tracks. After you add your audio track, look for the tempo bar in the toolbar. It will probably say '100'. Change that to whatever tempo your Fruity file is, highlight the audio track, go to 'File' ( I think), and click on 'import audio'. It should play just fine now. As far as changing the sampling rate, in Sonar you have to go to 'options'-audio, and you'll see where the sampling rate is. You can change that to several different rates, and while I'm no audio engineer, I have found that if I record or save a file at a different sampling rate than what I'm trying to play it back at, things get all hairy. In Fruity Loops, just look at the sampling rate in the window when you're saving the file. Hope this helps.
