alright, i was looking at getting an audio interface and midi controller/interface separately, and im wondering if the x-station provides a nice solution to this, seeing as its an all-in-one dealy. Im not sure how reliable it is as i couldnt find alot of helpful reviews, but i did reasd that it has some problems with mac osx, which is a problem for me because, guess what! haha, anyway, some feedback as to whether this would be a wise investment would be greatly appreciated :)

Yep, the only problem with X-Station is the drivers for the Mac os. I believe they have released new ones just recently that fixed most, if not all the problems they were having.

It does appear they are considering it done.

do you know anything about its quality? i dont care how much money it saves me, if it isnt servicable them its a waste. I like the portability, but i CANNOT find any decent reviews, at least not enough to form a well rounded decision, so some opinions would be welcomed

Novation has been at the cutting edge so to speak for many years. They dont build junk if thats what you mean. Their early versions of the Bass-Station are coveted by many and are still around and in use many years down the road.

So ya, their quality is more then up to snuff.

And you say that the new drivers have fixed the mac crashing problem? are you assuming that cuz of the new drivers, or do you know it for a fact? Not to question your word, but i want to be sure if im gonna spend that kinda scratch :)

Anvil, I guess for you to be perectly safe I would recomend contacting Novation through the link I gave you. simply conatact the support team and ask them about any issues you have heard of.

I know it fixed some timing issues and several other things. I dont know all the details sorry to say.

but I know there were at least 2 updates to the X-station OS itself as well as the Core-Audio drivers for the Mac OS-X.
