Simple (and free) way to burn music from my digital recorder

I just want to burn about 10 songs off my digital recorder and it's been a pain in my duff.
Maybe someone can make a suggestion...

Here's what i have for gear:
1. BR-532(optical output)
2. Dio 2448 (optical input) on a
3. PIII with 128mb RAM & CD Burner
4. Goldwave
5. Ahead Nero

I've been trying Goldwave to record an MP3 and then Burn the file with Nero, but it's not working. I know the music is going through the soundcard (the Dio 2448) cause i can hear it but I think i'm lacking a "master input control" because "Goldwave" and "Volume Control" both won't allow me to change the volume (it's all greyed out). Maybe thats the problem. I should have never sold my CD Deck Burner!!!!!!!!

Is there an easier way?

Are you arming a track in Goldwave to record? It doenst sound like you are adn that is probably why you dont havea live input into Goldwave.

Also, you aksed this same question in another thread. Please do not double post, it wont get you questions answered any faster.

yes i'm creating a "new file" first, but this post was more along the lines of finding a "better way" to translate the optical signal to a cd with or without goldwave. Maybe theres some other freeware program i am unaware of that can do this quickly and efficiently. maybe not...

ne suggestions?

Well have a look in out Recording Directory section under freeware as well as the other sections under software. There are several free apps out there that may or may not help you.
