Sep 07, 2005 06:26 pm heh I'm still on 2.2XL... no more for me...after Aardvark proprietary "stuff" is too much of a liability. I will probably be assembling a linux systen this month for audio... without a nice soundcard though (using sound blaster) for the time being... just can't afford a good card now... but will probably get Eridol FA101

Sep 08, 2005 12:31 am I've got Sonar 4 when it first released but more comfy with 3, so stayed with Sonar 3PE since then. dB, what's your say on 5? Is it much2 enhanced or just so2 enhanced...?
Sep 08, 2005 12:51 am it's pretty cool...and that's all I will (can) say...for now

Sep 08, 2005 05:47 am I just pre-ordered it . Going from Sonar 3 to 5 might be interensting. Now I have to get a new PC hahaha
Sep 08, 2005 07:16 pm Ooo! I was just about to upgrade to 4. Now I'll have to go straight to 5!
Sep 08, 2005 07:32 pm Oh, great... NOW they're including pitch correction. Too bad I just spent $300 on Antares Auto Tune...
By the way, Auto Tune has more bugs in it than you can shake a stick at.
Sep 08, 2005 07:42 pm they should make the add all like "make the 3 to 5 jump you won't be sorry"....
haha it's no wonder why i'm not in marketing!
Sep 09, 2005 08:56 am Just remember peeps, Sonar is XP only, not even 2000 compatible...just something to keep in mind.
Sep 09, 2005 10:08 am Now that the upgrade from 3 to 5 is coming out, and I think all I really need is the upgrade from 3 to 4, does anybody know a way that I could get the upgrade for cheap? I noticed that both the upgrade from 3 to 5 and 4 to 5 are the same price ($180), which was the same price as the upgrade was from 3 to 4.
Would it be unlawful for someone who was upgrading from 4 to 5 to give me, or for me to buy from them, their upgrade from 3 to 4? It would be the same price for them to upgrade from either 3 or 4 to 5 anyway, so they don't really need the upgrade from 3 to 4 anymore.
So did I find a legal loophole, or am I suggesting something that we are not to speak of?
Sep 09, 2005 10:10 am As far as I know Cakewalk end user agreement is not to resell their software privately.
Sep 09, 2005 10:13 am Ah. That's too bad...

Sep 09, 2005 03:15 pm I just might buy Sonar 5, I'm tired of waiting for Adobe to update Audition and I could sure use the midi support Sonar has.
