dB- i read your review on variax 300 & workbench and i agree its not exactly like the real models, but its still cool as hell! . . . its a versatile guitar . . . i just bought workbench, but i heard something really scary . . . i heard workbench caused some 300 to shut down . . . i just asked line6 about this and im waiting for there email before i try installing workbench . . . did anyone hear of this?

sorry about that . . . i'll get around to doing my gear profile . . . my computer is a hp 2000mhz athalon 512ram windows xp home edition . . . im not sure what you mean by latest drivers and updates? . . . i just got workbench and it came with a cd rom . . . im just a little worried about installing it until i hear from line6

I never heard of, I had such a problem during my review. Now my 300 is all packed up to go back to Line 6, so I can't really test it either...interesting though.

I hate to promote another forum but... If you go to www.Line6.com they have a message forum for nothing but Line 6 product users. You could ask around in there or scan through the messages to see what comes up.

i got it to work . . . theres a new workbench upgrade just for the 300 series at line6.com . . . only one problem i ran into . . . my studio computer (which runs workbench) isnt online and there was some java thing it wanted me to download . . . i just pulled it off the cd rom that came with workbench . . . seems to be working fine
