hi guys, well i am getting my electric soon.....and i don't really have the $ to buy a good modeler or something right now so i have to work with what i have....i got a Behringer Mic100 Tube ultragain pre amp and i got IK amplitude plug in.....will that do the trick? cause in the pre amp manual it said the pre amp doubles as a DI box.

Aug 08, 2005 12:29 pm Should work fine. Amplitude is a modeler, from what I can gather (not haveing it).
Once you get your signal in the PC, don't overwrite your original wav file, make a copy so it's safe. This is in case your software lets you freeze down a track, or save the track with the effect (amplitude), then it might overwrite your original, then you won't be able to change it again, only alter it further.
Hope that made sense. Basically, back up your raw tracks, and only work with the copies.
Aug 08, 2005 12:58 pm yea i know (to back up the raw rec). well when i said modeler i meant like a physical one u know like the pod or v-amp. but if amplitude will work just as fine then thats a plus..thanks
