My bosses home computer was that badly infected, it took me hours and hours to get it all cleaned up. I should have just formatted the drive, but it became a quest! LOL Not to mention all the stuff that would have had to reinstalled.

I finally got rid of it all, but what a nightmare.

dayum! Its infuriating that any website can get away with allowing that to happen. At least now I know how my parents' computer gets so screwed up between visits :) My mother is a chronic clicker...her motto must be "if it asks, tell it yes!"

ooh yeah, an elderly lady I know was called up by someone, asking for her checking account number, because of her use on the internet. She gave it to the person.

The kick is, the lady doesn't even have a computer, let alone an internet account with anyone.

We told her to switch her account the very next morning.

When I first ran ad-aware on my pc here (at work), it rang up 250 some problems. Since I've switched over to firefox almost exclusively (except for development web page testing) I run adaware maybe once a month, and there's nothing problematic, only the computers recent lists, and things like that.
