I'm planning to be in NYC in October 2005 for a couple of weeks, then home again. I've been before. Done all the tourist things except the Statue of Liberty which I'm gonna do this time.

What should I make sure to see this time? Maybe this time around NY state, perhaps also Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticutt(?)- maybe 1-2 hrs by rail. I've been to Buffalo (1 hr by plane) and over the bridge to Niagara Falls (Can).

Cheers,

Yeah. You seen anything cheaper than US$280 from Newark to St Paul? 4 hr flight direct? Looks like you can stop off in Chicago.

Would be cool. I'm only in the US for 13 days and lose 2 days on my way home. Going to AES (Audio Engineers Society) conference in NYC. Taking time off my course.

While in NY want to visit some recording studios and/or engineers/people who make mics/anything like that. Don't know which ones I can get into yet - if I can get into any.

But I agree dB.

Cheers,

if it's your thing, you might want to go down and check out CBGB's before its too late, theyre in a losing battle against their landlord, and if things continue they wont be around for long. they have some decent local bands play there (and some really bad ones too), and i hear theyre going to be having a lot of big names play in support of keeping it open. not a very nice club at all, but its got some historical significance to it.

Looks interesting for sure Dan. Can you recommend any other recording studios in NYC?
