I have used Nuendo, but not in a long time. It's another multitracking/film scoring app...I didn't like it.

nuendo is quickly sneeking up on Pro Tools out here, alot of mixers work on protools then go home to Nuendo, it's geared a bit more towards video post production than it's brother Cubase wich is geared a bit more twards the composer/musician with better MIDI sequencing capabilitys but not as good video. from what i gather, nuendo 2's audio engine is the same as as Cubase SX3

Sonar 4 wreaks shop on everything it touches!

A few big name artists are using Nuendo now, Dixie Chicks mixed their last couple albums on Nuendo I beleive, many others too. As it appears they are definately aiming at ProTools as Nuendo is a very hi end system (or can be) with proprietary hardware pieces as well as software...unlike ProTools though, it still will work with mainstream audio components.

I use Nuendo and love it. Although I am fairly new to recording and have not used many other apps.
