Our film opened this weekend and without any advertising we had close to 200 people show up. It went over very well too. Our Narrator was given an audition with a local voice over company to work with them professionaly and I was offered to do the sound for another film by a different group of film makers! I know these are just little victories but they still feel good. Thanks for listening, I just had to share. :)

congrats. question, though: what was the purpose of a narrator? i ask because they are generally frowned upon in dramatic film. or comedic film, for that matter. if you pulled it off, why and how did it work?

We got away with it in this case because this was a documentary style comedy or mocumentary. Telling the "story" of the life of a ventriloquist and his dummy. It sounds bland but turned out pretty funny. Lucky for us I was not a writer on this one. :)
