I am trying to use my SPDIF's (in's) on my Delta 1010. I got a digital to analog converter from Radio shack. Has anyone tried to take an analog signal into a SPDIF before?

Jun 23, 2005 06:47 am Sony/Phillips Digital I(?) Format(?) is a digital to digital thing in their stereo format. Some stomp boxes have them, some stereo systems have them, etc., but it has to be SPDIF to SPDIF. If you have a converter, it has to be an analog in, converted to SPDIF digital in order to send to your Delta's SPDIF in.

Jun 24, 2005 03:55 am Wait, so a Digital to Analog converter won't work?
I was going to take the analog signal and run it through the converter, and then I have a digital cable to the in on the Delta. This won't work?
If not has anyone tried to do this?

Jun 24, 2005 11:42 am that would be an Analog to Digital converter, but i think that's what you meant....yes that'd work just fine...also make sure that Analog signal you are converting is at Line level, either by a preamp, or it's own preamp.
