File Transfer

Hey guys once again!

I've been thinking about transfering files with clients through the internet for effectiveness of song development etc...

Other than FTP transfers, the easiest way is the email (mp3s) , since not all the clients have the knowledge of FTP transfers... So how secured is the email attachment transfers?? Can I rely on that for security...?

You could try www.dropload.com or Fast Send 2.0. I've used dropload; which lets you send someone 100mb max through thier email. The way it works as you upload a file to dropload's server and also add in the person's email address. The person receives an email with a link attached saying it's from you and they can loadload it. Pretty cool, free service. I recommend it.

email isn't secure at all, but, if people are sniffinf emails, it's not songs they are looking for, it's passwords.

That said, YOU could always ftp the file to a web space and have a file manager script installed on the server that would allow the other person to just download thru their web browser via that file manager. Gossamer Threads "FileMan" or some script of that nature would work.
