I'm looking for something that can pump out MP3's when i'm on the train and that i can also play games on at lunch when i'm bored.

Is there such a device?

I'm crap at this sort of thing so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

this ones awesome btw : www.nokia.com.au/nokia/0,,66586,00.html

it comes with everything you need to play mp3s, a few good games (and the option of downloading others), its an audio recorder and itll run a midi sequencer.

the other cool thing is you can have .wavs as your ringtones and stuff

I use a Palm.... You can get game-boy emulators and more... Just about every game in the world can be installed.

Couple that with SDIO ports, and you can drop up to 1GB of games/mp3's, even movies on the cards.

I've been able to get 2 full 2 hour movies onto the Palm tungsten T5 with 1 512MB card and the internal memory, plus about 30 games and about 3 albums...

I am guessing the quality would be no better thant he encoding of the audio...and, well, mp3 is...mp3...

It's not too likely I'll ever buy one of those things myself...Podcasting interests me, but not actually owning any of those units.

Yeah, especially when you consider that the Creative Zen player is cheaper and has more storage. But other than taking a few albums with me to the pool hall so that I dont have to listen to the worst jukebox in existence, I don't really need 30GB of capacity. I especially don't need to spend $300 on an mp3 player! Heck, I could buy Battery for that hehehe.
