Hey guys,
I'm recording some stuff now and I want to setup a chain so that I can mix my 7 drums tracks going to my mixer down to 4 tracks into my delta 44 soundcard. My mixer is a Behringer UB2442FX-PRO and it has 8 Sub Outs, 4 Aux Sends and 4 Aux Returns, etc... It seems that I have more outs then ins if that makes sense. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here so if anyone can help, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks,
Mike

May 15, 2005 04:47 pm How many groups can you go out to? if there's 4 outs (sub and main) then here's what I'd try:
put 1 (or 2) 57 on the kick, set board eq down to keep out the higher stuff, then send this hard left for sub group left
put 2 57 on the snare (one top, one bottom) and try to eq out the cymbals, and kick. send this hard right, sub group right
put 1 c1000 overhead as upper right for cymbals, hard right, main out 2
put 1 c1000 as overhead left, and 2 57s for toms going hard left, main group out 1.
this way you can keep the pan going for different sides of the drums, plus process and/or mix the kick and snare seperate from the rest of the kit.
