Well, It's official. I'm enrolling in the 4-year Audio Engineering Technology program at the University of Hartford next Fall for a Bachelor of Science degree. The program has a really good history of graduates employed in studios and for all sorts of audio businesses. Everything from Bose to the Hit Factory in New York. One of the unique things about the program is that it has a big focus on electronics, so that I should learn how to build and repair equipment in addition to using it, which will hopefully expand job opportunities. There's also a lot of room in the program later on for me to take some computer networking or web development courses. Also, they're building two brand new studios in a new engineering facility which we'll be in next Fall. I met with the program director and he seems like a very experienced, knowlegeable guy. We'll be working with analouge, Nuendo, and Protools systems. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited!

It's great they follow the analogue route too, it's the basis for all recording really, and a lot of that stuff really comes in handy and translates into the digital world too, my course didn't sadly. Have a ball!
