feedback destroyers?

someone i know is intrested in gettin' one of these, do any of you guys know how this piece of gear works?? and how well it works?

They work pretty well. I dunno about that exact model, but Ihave used similar units, it does pretty much the same thing as ringing out a room does. When feedback starts it detects the frequency feedbacking back and cuts that frequency until the feedback stops.

I've used behringers feedback destroyers. Don't own one myself, but it seemed to work fairly well once configured properly. It does take a moment to catch any ringing at first, but once it's got that particular frequency sketched out, you won't hear it again.

Don't rely on it to remove any and all feedback however, a good sound man will catch it faster than any electronics...
