Mar 19, 2005 09:30 pm Well, if you dont have any pre's on the card then indeed stick with running through the mixer. Unless you can afford to add a bunch of dedicated mic pre's that are going to be better then what is in the Behringer.

I am currently upgradeing my recording setup.
I was running the Behringer mixer into a standard sound card ... whatever.
Now i have a ST Audio ADC & DAC 2000.
I was wanting some opinions as to whether it would be better now to run all mics into the sound card via the inputs on the card itself or whether i should still run the Mixer. That is; all mics into the mixer and then into the sound card.
Will i loose sound quality running into this poor mixer or will it be better because of the pre amps?
