Mar 16, 2005 08:19 am GoldWave is OK, it's free nagware as I recall. audacity.sourceforge.net is also pretty damn cool and it's free. WaveLab is expensive, but it's the BOMB I tells ya, the BOMB. It's from a company called Steinberg.
The demo of Har-Bal is OK for trying it out, but not for serious us, as it's an 8-bit demo so the results are sketchy at best.

Mar 16, 2005 09:31 am dB, Question for ya if you happen along on this thread again. I think I rarely ask comparison opinions but (the altimate cancels all prior) In your opinion which do you like best; Wavelab or Waves, or the combination of Wavelab using Waves plugs? I don't know why but I feel confused between the two applications as to which may be better.
Mar 16, 2005 09:33 am Personally, I like WaveLab using Waves plugs, and once Har-Bal's VST is out, the whole darn mastering job will be done within WaveLab.
