fostex fd-8

I have just formed up some new musicians and the bassist has a fostex fd-8. I am very well versed in computers and wanted to know what I could hook up to the fostex fd-8 to expand its capabilies....like a mixer or dat recorder? I know you hook up a jazz drive to scsi plug and a 2.5" hard drive inside.

I just wanted to know if I could add something to it to make it really awesome. I also have a great pc and access to many great pc's. I also have a delta 66 pc card and break out box. Several really good mics also.

Any ideas on adding just a couple more items for decent live recording system...to be installed into a jam room. I looking to record decent demos...nothing outrageous.
